Our Seasonal Honeys
Uniquely Territory Honey strives to capture the taste of the Territory and bottle it up for everyone to experience.

Our three well known Top End Seasons; Wet Season, Dry Season and Build Up each produce their own unique flavours which compliments the beauty the Northern Territory has to offer.
Wet Season
The wet season, also known as the Top End’s tropical summer, stretches from December to April.
The yearly average is 1,570mm (62″). Temperatures during this period usually range from 25°C to 33°C (77°F to 91°F) and humidity can reach higher than 80%.

The days are hot and humid but the repreave comes from the monsoonal rains. This season is an important time of the year for us to get our hives ready for our 'winter' period (aka the Dry Season). Ensuring there is enough honey reserves as we head into our cooler months. ​
Dry Season
The dry season in the Top End runs from May to October.
Temperatures range from 5°C to 32°C (70°F to 90°F) with lower humidity of around 20 to 35% and there’s little to no rain.
The days are sunny, and the nights are mild. This is the perfect time of year to explore the natural beauty the Northern Territory has to offer. This season is when we provide pollination services for one of the local Top End watermelon farms.

Build Up
The Build Up in the Top End is the season of transition between the Dry Season and the Wet Season. The Build Up typically runs from October to December.
Temperatures range from 21°C to 40°C (70°F to 104°F) – these are similar to the wet season with high humidity above 80% and there’s little to no rain.
The days are hot sunny, and the breeze feels like you're in a fan forced oven. This is the start of our busy season as the nectar flow begins and the Queen bee starts to expand her laying partern producing more bees.
